Claims Consultant with minimum 3 years’ Personal Lines and Commercial Claims experience in a Brokerage, required for a national Insurance Broker based in Cape Town CBD.


Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • RE Certificate essential
  • Relevant FAIS accreditation required
  • Minimum 3 years’ full function commercial claims experience essential
  • Experience within a Brokerage with a binder facility, essential



  • Ensure minimization of claims and claims expenses
  • Relationship building with all stakeholders
  • Client service
  • Claims administration – received notification, process claim, appoint assessors, assess claim validity and administer validated claims
  • Obtain quotes for products/repairs
  • Negotiations with service providers, 3rd parties and 3rd party Insurers
  • Settle claims
  • Payment
  • Salvage and recovery registers
  • Recoveries
  • Assist with Management Reports
  • Follow adherence of underwriting process for cancellations
