Sales Support Manager with experience in the earthmoving and construction machinery industry, preferably in the Sub Saharan Africa Market, and minimum 5 years’ operational management experience dealing specifically with Dealer sales, logistics and marketing, required to start asap.

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 essential
  • Tertiary qualification and/or post graduate qualifications preferred
  • Minimum 5-8 years operational management within the earthmoving/construction machinery industry essential
  • Dealer support and sales support experience essential
  • Must be able to travel when required

Responsibilities:

  • Dealer support in Sub Saharan Africa market – Namibia, Botswana, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, etc
  • Sales Administration and support
  • Support tender compilations and formulation of sales contracts
  • Manage all Dealership Agreements
  • Reporting – prospect, market share, profit, cost and sales
  • Arrange and management dealer conference/meetings and related documentation
  • Business Development – identify and exploit new business opportunities, review and improve current dealer network, identify and propose appointment of new dealers and new territories
  • Support Dealers with sales and marketing related requirements
  • Logistics – manage logistics related to sales, quotation, PO’s, invoices, delivery processes, landing and clearing and transport
  • Manage complete import and export procedure of equipment
  • Manage service providers – clearing agents and transporters
  • Review logistical processes to and identify cost savings
  • Manage shipment and delivery process
  • Manage VAT related processes and customs VAT related queries
  • Manage subsidiaries and Independent Dealers – Dealer appointment, policies and procedures, appointment processes and evaluations
  • Review Dealer capabilities and product line suitability
  • Monthly and quarterly review, P&L and Dealer performance KPI’s
  • Manage Dealer Assessment Program
  • Dealer governance and agreement management – renewals and terminations
  • Manage Dealer relationship and growth – develop dealer and define strategy
  • Dealer support – customer development and market penetration
  • Enforce utilization of approved suppliers – develop and support dealers in accessing centralized suppliers
  • Manage contract renewal and new submissions
  • Manage implementation of contract review, planning and P&L
