Fund Accountant – Constantia, Cape Town

Fund Accountant with a Degree in Finance, Accounting or Investment Management in minimum 3 years’ experience in fund accounting required to join a team of high-performing Fund Accountants working across local and offshore portfolios.  You will need to take ownership of the pricing and administration of local and offshore portfolios for this Asset Management Company based in Constantia, Cape Town.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Finance, Accounting, Investment Management or similar Degree essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Fund Accounting essential – strong fund accounting and pricing essential
  • Financial Services Industry experience essential
  • Strong understanding of NAV calculations and key components required
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle from trade to settlement required
  • Understanding of trade date vs settlement date accounting required
  • Experience investigating and resolving cash and position reconciliation breaks required
  • Understanding of pricing principles and importance of accurate valuation in NAV calculations essential

  • Corporate Actions and Portfolio Administration
  • Trading settlements
  • Analysis
